Dear New Students,

Welcome to Chaoyang! I am sure you are filled with joy and pride when you read this letter. You have become a part of the Chaoyang Family. My hearty welcome to all of you!

There was abundant rainfall in early summer this year, and the trees in school were lush and towering. The golden shower and phoenix flowers bloomed splendidly, as always. All faculty and senior students are eagerly awaiting your arrival, and you will soon receive a well-prepared information kit for first-year students. Taking this opportunity, I extend a warm welcome to all of you with this letter as you embark on an essential journey in life.

Wufeng is a place with poetic scenery, aggregating talented people and culture. Walking up the hill and stepping on the campus, Chaoyang is where you begin your dream. Looking back on the 29-year history of Chaoyang since its establishment, its academic achievements and impact won recognition in various international rankings. Besides being listed in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Ranking, we are also listed in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Asia University Rankings, Young University Rankings, Emerging Economies Rankings, Impact Rankings, Computer Science Rankings, and Engineering Rankings. Locally, we are the best-performed private technological university awarded by Global-View Magazine and Cheers Magazine. We ranked first in the CommonWealth USR University Citizen Rankings and employer’s favorite university rankings. For more than a decade, the theses and dissertations of our faculty and students got the highest citation rate.

In Chaoyang, you can have unlimited possibilities. The bigger your mind, the greater your success. The more perseverance you have, the stronger your action. Focus on your study and work hard. Do good as a student, absorb knowledge and experience, and learn how to get along with others. In doing so, you can ultimately reach your dreams. From today onwards, take charge of your life and paint it with concentration, diligence, and patience. Learning is the best way to accumulate assets in this fast-changing world. The 4-year university study is where you prepare for your career and transform your knowledge into practical skills. Feel free to explore and grow with Chaoyang. Plant your seedlings of wisdom in the rich soil of Chaoyang and nurture it diligently. One day, they will flourish and bear abundant fruit.
